I am using and am happy with Lutris --- which is a flatpac. It will create steam profiles for your other games so that you can attach custom controller settings and custom power profiles. It appears to support GOG, EPIC, Ubi, Origin and then also some of it's own.

Yup Lutris works fine too.

I've only tried installing the GOG version of Fallout New Vegas from Heroic and so far it 100% has not worked for me. Since it's listed as playable on Steam, I'm not sure if it's worth the effort downloading and trying a different launcher or just rebuying on Steam. I can't really seem to find any help online and all the steps on protondb have not worked either.

Lutris.net has a forum and it has guides for Bethesda games.

I tried Heroic... Lutris but out of 10 games I wanted to install, I only managed two downloads, and I never managed to play them, he asked me to install other stuff, strange errors... just play the titles via steam OS, especially if you only have the 64gb version

No need for any extra downloaders or launchers. Just download the install exe's from gog. Start desktop mode and add the install exe to steam as a non-steam program. Launch it and it will install. If you need to install updates or bonus content, just change the program you added to the update exe and run it. When you are ready to play the game, point the shortcut to the game exe which is under /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/<gameid>/pfx/drive_c/

Yes. Also, I've had good success simply copying install directories and just adding the games exe from add non steam game w/out any need to install at all... I've tested this way successfully with: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Blood Rayne 1/2 and a a few others.

So you mean you just copy and paste the folder game from pc and by adding a shourtcut (no steam App) to steam OS, these games works? Please can you confirm and also let us know from and where path you copy and paste the files from pc to steam? And what App you used to move files? the steamdeck does not connect to pc via USB..

Generally you'll move the folder from the game installation directory from your PC unless there's some digital rights management involved. Moving files is easy, you have a whole bunch of options but a type c memory stick is easiest [exfat formatted), copy the files from the PC, plug it into the deck, move the files in desktop mode.

Hi Kietan, thanks for the feedback but Steamdeck recognize only Ex4 file system and Windows instead does not recognize ex4 file system, so how it could be possible move from pc to external memory and then by using steamdeck desktop mode to internal memory?

There are tools to transfer over and Linux will read NTFS and exfat with out a problem. Copy things to a USB drive and put in Steam Deck and copy folders off to internal memory.

It does work, I have used it.. a handull of times. There is a program that you install in Windows and on the deck and you can just transfer them over...
