Just checking that I cant play Xbox/Game Pass games?

I wanted to check as I read that any game that runs via the Xbox app wont run on Steamdeck?

Is that just the Xbox app or can I not run any game bought on the MS store?

Yes, you cannot run the actual Xbox app on SteamOS. Yes, you could create a dual-boot with Windows and use it on the Windows side. Yes you can use Microsoft "Cloud Gaming" through a browser (and it does work decently).

You can run 'some' games which are not purchased or activated through Steam.

Damn, this could be a deal breaker, I could cope with not playing COD or Fifa/Madden but I dont know if I want a portable PC that I cant play Forza on without having to rebuy it on Steam

That's why you do your research. If Game Pass is a requirement, I would not put the Steam Deck at the top of your list. Sure, people put Windows on the Deck but Valve does not prioritize Windows drivers which is why I would not put at the top of the list for use with Game Pass.

You can run gamepass through a browser and cloud play games on the deck.
