How long should it take to boot up for the first time
I just turned it on for the first time and after entering my wifi password, it installed steam and as been displaying the logo for the last half hour. I've tried turning it on and off a few times and pressing all the buttons.

I've never timed it with my Decks. I've always just plugged them in, start the process and put in a corner for a few hours until I'm ready.

That being said, I would assume anything greater than 40 minutes, it's not going to complete. Try restarting the process, but connect it to your phone as a hotspot for the wifi.
Only a couple minutes. At most

Took me 30 of minutes on oled with no visible progress bar. Then on reddit I've read that you need to select default timezone(utc-8).

I did it, and five minutes later I got installer to show the progress bar. For 20 minutes it showed "2 minutes left" but slowly crawled the progress forward(reminds that egg scene from Snatch) then it rebooted and booted for about a minute. So it took me 1hour

Note, I have a terrible internet now - I use my phone for WiFi hotspot with about 10mbit speed and I browse it.

Just like the original poster on reddit, I also have no idea if timezone changed the installer somehow, or timezone was changed when the initial phase was almost complete and it just ritual.
