It's a bit of a workaround but if you connect a second controller and then reorder the controllers where the Steam Deck is controller 3 it works like normal. Sometimes it needs to be controller 2 or 4 for whatever reason. You can disconnect the controller once controls are working. I have seen where reorder controllers is still available after exiting cemu but generally you will have to repeat this process to get it working again.
Before the update controller 1 would always be the main controller for cemu and I would just switch that when I'd play with an external controller. haven't been able to get it to work after the update.
Why are you smoothbrains still using the Cemu proton version? (the one with the controller issue)
Native linux appversion is actually more performant now in majority popular titles (and comes default now with emudeck install).
Switch over to native and dump the proton version.
So, can confirm that after changing to the native cemu version, the button works, but now I have to spend a long time fixing my steam library because the new rom parser messed up everything, that that is fine.
Thanks,
