CurseForge on the Steam Deck but it's refusing to launch from Steam

I'm trying to get cureseforge to work but I'm having issues. I've downloaded curseforge onto the desktop and it's an appimage and it runs fine when I click it. I can even play minecraft and all that.

I've added it as a non-steam game but it never launches. I've tried looking up how to run an appimage in steam mode but it seems complicated and I've never used linux before and I'm not the best with computers.

I've seen people talk about setting the appimage to "is executable" in its properties and it was already set to that by default.

Any help is much much appreciated! <3
