Every single steam game I try to launch
Particle Mace
Limbo
Baldur's Gate 3
Pseudoregalia
Carrion
Owlboy
Hollow Knight
I've verified all the different versions of proton and the steam runtime, it doesn't matter which version of proton I try to use none of them make any difference
Just to make sure, did you remove anything like Seam Linux Runtime 2.0 (soldier) or Steam Linux Runtime 3.0 (sniper)?
If not, check this post:

the only thing I can think is that maybe I had too many games listed with emudeck's steam rom manager? Ive decided to use pegasus as a frontend for that from now on just in case, but thanks for the suggestion
Glad it worked out.
I noticed things started to get a little weird with Steam Rom Manager as my collection got larger. Today, I just keep a few emulated games on Steam with Steam Rom Manager, and I use Emulation Station to access the rest.
