Steam Deck Limited White better build quality than original OLED
Just received the white SD and immediately noticed that the build quality is higher than the black OLED I purchased a few months ago. The top frame of the black SD is easy to push and squeaks when pressure is applied. They must have added some additional structural support to the white because it no longer bends downward when I push on it. Just feels solid all around. These are just my first impressions. Will update if I find anything noteworthy.

FWIW, my non-LE OLED doesn't have that problem.
lol
Honda rebrands it Acura, same car.
They sold you a colored case. Nothing more.

My white SD is definitely built better than the black but it could be that my particular unit was assembled badly.

Weight and screen brand (Samsung)? No screen issues? Thanks!

Nice to know they're improving on that. I have the black OLED and can definitely feel some give when pressing certain buttons, always figured it was just a compromise of being relatively easy to take apart.

For those unaware, due to the more transparent shell of the NEW white limited edition 1TB deck (received mine today), the power LED light is very visible through the shell even bleeding through the small crack between screen which looks slightly janky as you see the power LED light bleed through between the shell and OLED screen top right edge… Turning down LED brightness to lowest doesn’t help.

Is it deal breaker? Not for me & I think in normal light conditions (day/night under normal house lighting) should present little issues. However if you have the deck directly in front of your face laying down at night in the dark (with power LED light set to lowest brightness), you’ll definitely see white light bleed through the ever so slight crack between the screen and shell (I’m not even bothered by the LED light shining through the shell - separate to the crack).

I always use my deck with the power LED off, simply because I don't need it. Could be an option for some who are bothered by it.

I didn't know it was an option!! Thank you my man, i'm gonna game tonight without that green glow... It isn't all that bad, but can be distracting at times.
