You can better see the dirt and grime from your greasy gamer hands. You just don't get this feature on the standard models.

Ehhh, i bought the original ROG ALLY 6 months ago which is also white and so far there is no dirt or smudgy spots on the shell and thats after basically using it daily for those 6 months.
If you have clean heands when you play there is really not much that can dirty those handheld PC.
So its more a case of personal hygiene then the color of the device.

do not leave it exposed to direct sunlight for any length of time. the UV rays could cause a chemical reaction that will cause it to yellow over time. However, if you put the whole thing (of course only the case without the electronics xD) in hydrogen peroxide and leave it in the sun, a reverse chemical reaction occurs.

valve said they wont sell a partly upgraded version of the oled steamdeck until there is a meaningfull hardware upgrade
