And there is some layer!
I tried using a keyboard when docked, and the game received the inputs.
So, for some reason, Steam Input thinks I’m using a keyboard instead of a controller, even when there is none. So how can I revert that?
Only in Gaming Mode, Steam Input is stuck in keyboard mode. When I use the virtual keyboard to navigate the menus, it works. I also tried assigning the controller buttons to keyboard keys, and it worked. But that’s just a workaround.
So what I need to do is to unstuck Steam Input from this perpetual keyboard mode. Also, I don’t understand the shortcut to turn-off controller, as it doesn’t seem to change anything.
So does someone have some knowledge on Steam Input and could help me solve that issue? It seems to be a SteamOS thing, but I can’t put my finger on it.
Again, thanks in advance!
So, for your Heroic games, don’t use Wine-GE: it’s no longer compatible with the latest versions of Gamescope. Even though Heroic doesn’t recommend it first, now Proton-GE is the way to go.
You’ll have to transfer your save files as the prefixes are not the same: from “drive_c/users/deck/…” to “pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/…”.
