Steam Deck Poor Wifi Speeds (Nothing seems to fix it!)

Hello everyone, I've been having a consistent problem with my steam deck having incredibly slow download speeds, and no matter what I do to try and fix it nothing seems to work. I've tried changing my download region several times, I've adjusted the download limits in the settings, I even went into developer mode and disabled wifi power management. I've seen my deck reach download speeds of up to 20MB/s occasionally, but the average speeds usually remains at around 3 or 4MB/s. My network is a pretty fast network, I only tend to notice slow download speeds on Steam.

I have the same problem. Usually download speed is at 20 - 30 mbps while I have internet connection speed at 600 mbps. What worked for me is switching to desktop mode, there I get 200+ mbps.

Maybe you can try using an adapter to connect your console to your router's wired network for faster download speeds, or you can try changing the current download region in the Steam settings. In China, we use some network accelerators to get a more stable network signal and faster download and access speeds, my download speed reached up to 38MB/s, and the fastest download speed on PC was close to 70MB/s.

Are you downloading to the internal ssd or an SD micro cards?

I'm bumping this thread and changing the topic from Slow Download Speeds to simply Poor Wifi Performance in general. No matter if I'm downloading a game, update, shaders, or just browsing on Chrome, the deck is simply slow with its internet speeds as a whole! From what I understand other's issues remain exclusively within the download speeds of games and updates, but for me it's system wide, in gaming mode, desktop mode, downloading from steam or general internet usage. This is not an issue I experience on my other devices like my phone or PC. I'm starting to think my deck is potentially a faulty unit? Has anyone else experienced similar issues?

My deck has lower speed downloads too, Even when I plug it directly into Ethernet.
When I use my lenovo legion go I don’t have this issue and it will cap out the entire gigabit internet and pull over 100mb sec on Wi-Fi
