Steam Deck

Steam Deck

Is the 1TB model worth it just for the anti glare screen?
I would like the extra storage but I could always buy a 1tb sd card.

Just for the anti-glare screen? Nah, unless you really, really hate glare. The extra storage is nice, but you can get the cheaper version and upgrade the storage yourself for less.

Depends on how you plan to use the Deck. If you would like to sometimes use it outside, the etched screen really helps in those situation.

Yeah, it really depends on your intended use case. I bought my Deck (back then LCD, then switched to OLED) for mobile gaming first & foremost. On train commute, for example. Or on the station bench waiting for said train. For that use case, the etching makes all the difference in the world (and I happily take the extra storage on top). Anti-glare stickers don't match integral anti-glare etching as they keep the boundary layer.

If you, on the other hand, aim to use it at hotel rooms or anywhere else with easy (as in "compatible with screens") lighting, you really don't need that integral anti-glare layer.

Nah, you can buy anti-glare screen protectors for a fraction of the price.

You can save money by getting the cheaper model, then getting the parts for the higher end model on ifixit, and installing the upgrades yourself. Then you also have a some spare parts to keep and or sell.
