Remote Play on the Steam Deck

I'm having a blast with my new Oled Steam Deck.
This is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time, and interestingly enough, I've been playing more games using the Remote Play feature, streaming the games from my pc to the deck than on the deck itself.

Basically I spend the whole day in front of the computer working, so at the end of the day I'm tired of staring at the monitor after 8 hours and there's nothing better than spend the rest of the day lying comfortably in my bed, playing my favorite games on the deck.
I'm currently playing Ghost of Tsushima and it looks great! I barely feel any sort of input lag. It works perfectly and it allows me to play with all the graphics options maxed out without compromising performance or battery life.

But sometimes and this is rare, but it happens, the screen flickers. It's something that happens really fast, but it's noticeable nonetheless.
Does anyone know why this happens and if there's a way to avoid it?

Also, does the Remote Play feature work if I'm away from home and the Steam Deck is connected to a decent internet connection and my computer is turned on back at home running Steam?
