Steam Deck OLED.....
Hi all guys, I wanted to ask a question to anyone who owns the Steam Deck OLED....I wanted to ask you, have you ever noticed Burn-In problems? and if you have never noticed it, do you think it is possible that the problem will occur in the future??

With normal use, burn-in is not a concern.

What do you mean by "normal use"? I generally turn on and play, very rarely I go into desktop mode

I don't think you should worry with that.
Just play your games and enjoy the device.

if you play games like Final Fantasy 14 and are a regular player, over time the static HUD will burn into the screen. ive had this happen with 2 plasma TV's playing that game with about 10k hours.

so of you play different games it will not be an issue

Oh God I don't think you can compare a 7.2 inch OLED screen with a plasma living room TV....

The burn-in testing that was done on the OLED model (that all the internet sites are reporting) was created using an unrealistic scenario. The goal of the testing what not to replicate normal usage, it was to see if they could burn the screen (by any means necessary) and if so, how long it would take.

Normal usage will not create the situation that as used to create the burn-in.

Day 1 Steam Deck OLED purchase. No burn in that I've noticed.

Of course it's possible, but it's really nothing to be anxious about. During normal use for the overall life of your device, you are very unlikely to experience any noticeable burn in. You really have to abuse the crap out of it to get it to burn in. You'll very likely be looking at an upgrade to a Steam Deck 2 long before your device ever has a chance to burn in.
