Steam Deck Mouse Cursor disappeared in gaming mode. PLEASE HELP FIX
There used to be a mouse pointer on my steamdeck that I can just use whenever I move my fingers on the trackpad but now it is gone and I have to hold down 'steam' and move it. How do I get it back??
I just got this device last week and I was able to move the cursor with just my right trackpad without holding down the steam button. This might be a software issue either due to bug or new software update. I was able to use my mouse cursor with my trackpad before I connected a Bluetooth keyboard, and the Steam deck glitched out, and when it booted back to gaming mode, the trackpad doesn't work unless i hold down the steam button.
I talked the steam support team but they told me to make a discussion post since they don't think
Steam deck mouse cursor disappeared happens only in gaming mode

There is a controller configuration that controls navigation in game mode. The right trackpad is disabled in this layout and none of us have access to edit it. It's also disabled on desktop PCs in Big Picture Mode. I've requested this option many times and have gotten nowhere. Here is one such thread.

Hey, if you hold down the Steam button and then touch the right trackpad, the mouse will appear. But you have to keep the Steam button pressed.

There was so much complicated info on how to fix this and this was the actual simple fix. Thank you!!
