does it mean that every single pre-built computer and laptop is also not allowed to play? lol

If those are Linux computers, probably.

the plutonium employee is saying it's because it's all the same hardware, says nothing about the OS.

It mentions the anti cheat specifically which is usually related to the OS.

Though it could be a case that since the Deck hardware doesn't allow certain security features, none of them will work. Like Valorant.

he mentions the anti-cheat can't work because steamdeck hardware is all the same.
that suggests it generates a hardware ID and uses that for some identification purposes.

that's a very bad idea if it uses just generic hardware info for this, as it would mark any people with identical configurations as the same people.

Holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ is that Plutonium AC dumb.
Plutonium devs: "Hmm, just about every major component in a computer has a unique serial number embedded in them that can be easily retrieved with publicly available API calls. Even if there are a couple duplicates between one or two specific pieces of hardware, every single computer on the planet will have its own unique combination. Nah, we're going to make up our own serial numbers based on the most generic information ever."

Clearly the Steam Deck is the first prebuilt computer.
OH WAIT.
