Ubisoft Connect not recognizing steam deck controller

Ubisoft Connect used to recognise the steam deck controller and allow navigation via the buttons.

Recently it doesn't work anymore. So when I launch connect or a game it won't recognise controll inputs.

Any idea how to fix?

I got it to work on mine if you haven't done so already try setting it to proton experimental compatiblity mode
