You can make it invisible. You can make input continuous or when you click. If you want continuous movement when you click, you can do that too by adding an action layer with a touch menu set to continuous. Then add a click command to hold the layer. On the default set, you can set the trackpad to single button with a click to hold the layer with the touch menu on it.
can work with any amount of direction keys, you just need to figure out how they align and then make them auto-fire.
after figuring out how they worked i made the dials invisible.
if you do it on touchpad you can also make it act on "press touchpad"
