Installing Windows 11 on external drive. Missing driver.

Has anyone had luck getting Windows 11 installed on an external drive on Steam Deck?

When I try to boot from the installer media it says "a media driver your computer needs is missing". I can select new drivers, but the ones from the resources page for the Steam Deck do not work. I tried every little thing in there. For some reason I'm stuck at this screen. It says "browse" and "rescan". Has anyone else any idea what drivers it's looking for on this page?

I couldn't find any solution to this issue. Some wrote you need an 'AmdAS4" driver. But I tried that as well. And while some of the drivers then show in the list in the middle, after clicking "next" I'm back to square one. The drivers aren't the ones it's looking for. There's no information as to what exactly it's looking for either. I'm puzzled.

I'm installing from the Win11_23H2_English_x64v2 ISO.
