Can anyone confirm this is currently non-operational if Deck is fully updated?

Done USB BIOS change etc.

No connection to a Windows PC at all.

Linux users use kde connect for most problems.

It should be installed on default on the steam deck and accessible through desktop mode. All you need is a windows client.

KDE connect is a protocol over wifi. No dealing with wires. It does other cool things too.
