NFS Most Wanted 2005 Redux 3 stops working on my deck from time to time
Hi, hoping someone has some insight on what is happening.

I've installed NFS Most Wanted 2005 few months ago on my deck as a non steam game, and added Redux 3. Played it a few times and forgot about it until few days ago, when I noticed that it's not starting anymore. None of my other games are having issues, so I deleted it and re-installed it.

It worked fine for a couple of days, then yesterday I wouldn't run, neither from gaming mode nor from desktop. I installed it via Lutris, and it didn't start from Lutris either. I would only get the "running" button on Lutris or Steam then few seconds later back to "Start" and no error messages. Same in gaming more, screen goes black for few seconds and returns to the Steam UI.

Last night I tried again from desktop mode, with no luck, put the deck to sleep, this morning I turned it on, and now it's working, both in desktop and gaming mode.

The game is installed on the internal SSD. First time I installed it and had this issue was on the SD card.

Any ideas why sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and how can I troubleshoot this issue?

Sorry, fairly noob when it comes to Linux.

Are you using Proton GE or experimental?

Neither, I installed it using lutris so it doesn't have any compatibility settings, just some lutris startup commands.
When it stopped working I tried Proton experimental but still the game didn't started up.

Sorry for the less than helpful reply, but if you've not, I'd strongly urge you to post this in the Discussions section of that game as the chances of encountering someone who's gotten this very specific game to work would be much higher there.

Actually, you're right, I'll do that, thanks!

You're welcome, can't hurt to have both going at the same time to maximize your chances :lunar2019coolpig:
