Can't get custom textures to work on Dolphin

Ripping my hair out trying to figure this BS out.

I have custom textures (seamless HD mod) for the GameCube versions of RE2 and RE3.

I have a linux/flatpack version of Dolphin that load the textures perfect but it refuses to accept the Steamdeck as a controller; input simply does not get recognized no matter what settings I use and Google has really not helped me.

Retrodeck version of Dolphin doesn't even seem to have a way of accessing in game menu in game mode. Accessed it through desktop mode and the texture packs are exactly where it says to put them and apparently the names of the folders don't need to be changed, yet Dolphin doesn't load them (Yes, I have the emulator configured to load custom textures).

So either way something is preventing me from playing these damn HD versions.

Does anyone have any answers???

*EDIT* So I managed to get Steamdeck controls with button mapping working on flatpack Dolphin, but if I do, somehow it doesn't load the textures despite the custom textures option still being enabled. If I get the textures working the controls don't work. Seems I can only have one or the other. No further progress on retrodeck Dolphin. What the hell is going on here???
