How to force quit a game in desktop mode?
A game I was playing froze and I cannot open the normal menu to quit. I tried all the buttons like "steam", "L5", a combination of different buttons etc but nothing could allow me to quit to desktop, minimize the window or anything like a process window.

Would be a huge oversight if there isn't something like an alt+f4 for these kind of situations. I literally had to force shutdown and restart due to a tiny freeze.

Try to open the on screen keyboard (steam + x), sometimes that already makes the game windowed. It might be more convenient to create a keybind for the steam overlay. With that you you can easily exit the game.

Sadly you cannot do this in desktop mode (really weird) and only in steam mode...

It used to work in the past, it would bring up the bpm keyboard. Ever since the "new" bpm, things got less intuitive and more buggy. I have bound L3 to opening the steam overlay, that still works fine for me.
