Steam deck adapter getting hot ?
I just received my 512gb Oled today when charging it for the first time I’m new so forgive my ignorance the plug in gets extremely hot I mean so hot it’s hot to touch is this normal? I just want to be sure since I’ve never opened one Ty in advance I’d appreciate any help or advice

Touching mine right now, it's not that hot for me... Ask valve to swap you out a new one, I would NOT risk it.

how hot? mine definitely get hot, but not enough to hurt you.

Mine doesn’t even feel warm, it’s basically room temperature. I would be very concerned with it if it continues to do that.

well it heats up when you pull 25-45w out of it, just like all power bricks. the question is how high is the temperature.

Not the steam deck the actual adapter that plugs in got really hot on first charge

This is normal, AC adapters get hot.
