Yes in most cases. Once you factor in steam sales, Steam deck should have one of the lowest total cost of ownership among gaming devices. Steam sales changes the math like crazy. To give you an idea, switch have a bigger total cost of ownership than the steam deck.

Seriously. List your games. Many game studio separate console and PC because mouse+keyboard is the superior input for many games.
In FPS, mouse+keyboard reign supreme. Microsoft studied and realize they had to give up joining the two player bases.
