FSR at 1280x800
Hi, I was just wondering if anybody else has been able to have FSR active via the QAM when playing at 1280x800?

I have achieved this by activating FSR, lowering the resolution, exiting and re-opening the game and then setting the resolution back to 1280x800.

I find this odd as I keep reading that FSR shouldn’t work at that resolution, but I have found it works and can sharpen the picture.

So far I’ve done this in the Tales of Kenzera demo and Metro Exodus, although Metro required toggling VSync and wasn’t necessarily an improvement.

Any thoughts on whether this is correct behaviour or not would be appreciated.

Also, is it normal to have to exit and re-open a game or toggle VSync to get FSR to activate?

Thanks

To get FSR to activate, you need to launch the game (using properties) in the resolution you want to be displayed. Then, in the game menu, set the resolution lower than your target resolution. Then toggle FSR on in the Steam Deck menu. This should activate FSR. If it doesn’t, you may need to go into the game settings and change from windowed to fullscreen for it to activate. You shouldn’t have to mess with VSync or exit and reload games to get it to work.
