Steam Deck Mic selection (Bose Headphones)

I have set of Bose Bluetooth Headphones that include a mic. I can connect the headphones via bluetooth, but the Steam Deck does not appear to be picking up the mic on the headphones.

When I navigate to the audio settings with the headphones connected, the only options available to me are:
Default(microphone)
filter-chain-source
output.virtual-source

These are the only available input sources even if I manually plug in the headphones into the deck. The main reason I know that the mic is not being picked up on the headphones, is because the mic on the deck was working fine, but when I tried hooking up my deck to my docking station, and sat a ways away from the deck, all of a sudden my friends could no longer hear me until I got closer to the deck again.

Has anyone been able to hook up a bluetooth mic from a set of Bose Headphones, or any other headphones on the deck? I would really like to use my headphones with a built in mic from my couch from time to time with the steam deck docked.

if the mic is designed for phonecalls then you won't be able to use it. and if it's not, then it probably uses a codec that steam deck doesn't support.
