Steam Deck Troubleshooting - Logo Appears, no boot or bios access

Hello guys, just ran into problem with my Steam deck - originally 64 GB version.

I´ve used it with 1TB drive and dual boot for a long time. Experimental updates were active.

I´ve upgraded to 2TB drive today. Reinstalled Steam OS through recovery USB and set it up without any issue. I´ve let it on standard updates.

Then I booted to gparted and shrinked the home partition by 500 gigs

Then I started to install Windows 10 onto the 500GB internal partition I made. After first restart of windows installation, screen was stuck at the steam logo. I was not able to enter bios by pressing volume up + power. If I power up the unit, it just stays on steam logo and I can´t do anything else.

Fixes that I´ve already tried:

1) Inserting previous 1TB SSD, even 64 GB SSD
2) Powering up Steam deck without any SSD
3) power drain (unplug battery, hold on button for a minute, plug back, start)
4) Shipping mode (volume up + three dots button while in charge - three times led blinking)
5) powering on steam deck without battery just on power adapter

No success. Can´t get past the logo screen. No bios, anything. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

I have a docking station, so I can plug in peripheries like keyboards, USBs, everything.

Ok guys, I will answer myself. Another combination of keys worked for me (found it around on google).

Maybe we could start a thread with these "power on button configurations", it could definitely help other users. This is not first issue I´ve been through with my deck.

So if you are stuck on the logo and can´t boot or access bios, do the following:

hold down Vol down button + ... button (right side of the screen) and press power button.

- power on sound, screen is black but backlit is on, after approx. 30 seconds deck logo appears, after another 30 seconds steam deck logo blinks once (I guess soft restart) and system starts to boot.

After that the windows installation finished, I turned off deck and I was able to boot to Bios. I´ve as well noticed that my battery drained to 60% while I was trying to get it back to life (might depend as well).

So the known combinations for me are as follows:

Bios menu - Hold Volume up & press power button
Boot menu - Hold Volume Down & press power button

Shipping mode (might resolve HW issues - for me it was non working touch screen)

- Plug in the original charger
- Shutdown steam deck
- Hold Vol + & ... button for 10 seconds
- during holding those buttons unplug power cable -> LED will blink 3 times
- Leave charger disconnected and try Power on with power button - shouldn´t do anything
- Plug in the charger - Steam deck should start (same as first start when shipped).
- If this doesn´t work, try to do it once more

Stuck on logo / won´t boot / won´t enter bios
- Hold down Vol down button & ... button while pressing power button
- First backlit but black screen, then 30 seconds logo screen, then logo screen restarts, system boots up
- might be necessary to keep holding vol - and ... button until steam logo appears.

^^^ this right here saved me tonight. I installed Windows 10 Home on my Steam Deck LCD 512GB and it froze on the boot screen on restart. Tried everything until I read your post. The volume DOWN button was the fix **WITH** the ellipsis button (. . .) other posts on reddit kept saying the volume UP button, no, it's the volume DOWN that needs to be pressed with the ellipsis button.

When the logo pops up it flashes than goes away and then nothing? I only installed a 2tb ssd and it won’t boot
