Wifi power management (when on) causing network issues

I'm a dev working on a game for Steam. So I was getting what appeared to be severe lag spikes but only on steamdeck, not on PC.

Players normally broadcast their position every 0.1 seconds or so and so you receive these broadcasts from other players at roughly the same intervals obv. But I was seeing regularly a delay of about 0.5s then suddenly I'd get like 3 or 4 network message on exactly the same frame. lol. It made opponents glitch around the screen.

The fix is to turn off wifi power management on the steamdeck:

Is there a fix in the pipeline? It seems its been a known issue for a while. Any advice appreciated.
