Good games for trackpads?
Hi, I am new to Steamdeck and I’m now playing mostly controller-based games - but I’d like to know how to best test the trackpads. For games like Spider-man they don’t do much - can anyone recommend for which games they are working well? Thanks in advance!

Try any first-person shooter. Right T-Pad as mouse, check your preferences in the settings, and have fun.

As side from as mentioned above for FPS, they can be used in games that are primarily designed for mouse and keyboard like Two Point Hospital. Any of the "management" games will be perfect for the trackpads.

You can probably do RTS games as well, but it's a little slow compared to using a mouse. With that, it won't work too well for a fast paced RTS. I tried one and the CPU rushed me because I was too slow getting my initial resources built. :steammocking:

The more you use it the more you'll get better using them.

I personally really like point and click adventure games on it. Deponia is a good series, so is Sam and Max, pretty much any Telltale game.

I also like classic CRPGs on it too like Geneforge and the Baldur's Gate series. I just installed XCOM on there and it seems like a really good fit too. I imagine ARPGs would work fine too but I've only played ones that have controller support so far besides a little of Diablo via DevilutionX.

any 1st and 3rd person game like spiderman can benefit greatly when using trackpads for camera control

using "mouse region" instead of "as mouse" will make you a lot quicker.
possibly even quicker than an actual mouse.
