Headphone buzzing on oled
This is killing me, my only chances to play require I use headphones. Really hope they address this soon seeing as a lot of people are impacted

I believe if you contact support, they have a fix for it but it requires sending it back to Valve. IIRC, this was mentioned in another thread.

Some people have had luck turning the screws holding the headphone jack daughterboard out by about 1/2 of a turn, or using a tiny washer so the screws can't penetrate as far. A few others have actually insulated the screw holes with Kapton tape. I personally wouldn't recommend the second method, as screwing with the grounding of devices can be a bad idea.

If you're not a fan of the DIY route, yeah, Valve is offering a free fix if you're okay with sending your Deck off for a couple of weeks.

the board is SUPPOSED to be grounded to the rest of the internals. it's a workaround, not a fix. only valve is currently fixing it.

For anyone curious I contacted support and this is what they said:

“ Thank you for the information above.

We are aware that a small number of customers using certain headphone types with their Steam Deck OLED may be sensitive to the behavior you're describing.

If it's bothersome to you, we can bring your unit in for a simple repair service to address the issues. Please confirm whether you'd like to proceed with that.

Steam Support
Jessy”

Hopefully it won’t take too long
