editing game include file on deck?

Can someone point me to where I can find the Steam game files on the deck? (in Windows you go down into the Steam folder, but in deskview-mode, I can't see where steam is installing files on the deck to go looking.

I have an older game I like to play that is fully customizable through the include file. (I am guessing there isn't a way to pull the include from my PC, so am willing to hand-edit... if I know where to go look).

Easiest way is to just open Steam in desktop mode, right click a game and open local files. A Dolphin window will launch already on the installation folder.

ok, next (sillier) question: how you do right-click with the steam deck controls? I just got this thing today so trying to figure things out. No dock, so no external mouse or keyboard either.

I think the default is left trigger.

You can edit the desktop controls; click on Steam in the top left corner of the Steam client, select Settings from the drop down menu, click on the Controller tab about two-thirds down the list, at the bottom of the controller options you will find the Desktop Layout Edit button.

Thanks a ton to both of you, need to wait for next time I am not on my PC (since the deck keeps wanting to log me out of steam on my PC... (so much for multi-tasking!)

I still have to get used to controller-like buttons, I've never really played console as my hands are too big for comfortable normal controller use... Been only-PC up until now.

Look in ~deck/.local/share/Steam and things will probably start to look familiar. For example: /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common

At some point I'm going to do a whole write-up on where eveything is in SteamOS and what sort of stuff has been added, like /usr/bin/steamos-* scripts etc. I'll probably put it on the Arch Linux wiki when I finally get around to it.
