It’s also now entering holiday weekend, if it hasn’t shipped yet I doubt you’ll see it by Monday aka Christmas when couriers are all off duty. Unless some holiday miracle happens and it ships today, and you are near the warehouses in the US… but it’s really cutting it close.
Added context: I got the 256gb lcd model. His is the 512 oled model. Dunno if that matters (it shouldn't) but there, more context added.
This is the same exact question many customers asked, me included, when lcd invites and oled release days happened. I ordered way before some family and friends (and some even ordered a day after me) yet lucky few received theirs before me, and we all live in the same state and county. It’s called getting randomly processed.
Again, if you haven’t received a shipment email or your status hasn’t changed with a shipping label, then there’s honestly slim chance of it coming before Monday, especially since it’s a holiday weekend.
Maybe you can ask your buddy to lend you their steam deck for the day?
There is no rhyme or reason that we (consumers) have access to for understanding why one person receives their order before another person. When I ordered my OLED, I received mine several days after others their even though I'm only 1 state away from the shipping source.
In the end, you can only control what you can control. At this point, it's not something you can control.
Means label has been created, doesn’t always mean it’s been picked up by courier.
If the tracking# starts with numbers it’s most likely Fedex, who delivers during the weekend even Sundays with ground. If the tracking# starts with 1Z it’s UPS, who might or might not deliver on Saturday.
If you’re not seeing any updates with the tracking#, sign up for the said courier account, it’s free and it’ll give better shipping details.
I still have a feeling it’ll arrive after Monday, but again maybe a holiday miracle can happen for you 🤞🎁
It’s because it was just created. It will update within 24 hours, Valve notes this in their shipment email.
That stinks, sorry for the delays! Holidays are by far the worse times to make online orders imho, especially with promised delivery dates when many things from couriers side can affect this.
Did yours arrive? I'm anxious too, only ordered the OLED 512gb on the 3rd, tho and still in packaged items stage. 3-5 days felt way too optimistic.
I ordered mines (512gb OLED) on 1/2/24 and it’s just been stuck in ‘packaged items’??? I messaged steam support yesterday and they responded today with a template response that my item is processing at their warehouse and to allow 4-8 business days for delivery. I’m pretty disappointed with my experience and with steam support… my first steam deck purchase for the same model in November was a great experience this has just been terrible.
