Is it just me or... (the charger doesn't fit in the carrying case)
aka: UwU' Senpai steam deck, is that a 45W USB-C charger in your pants or are you just happy to see me?

Has anyone figured out a way to put the stock charger inside the little carrying bag without it creating an oversized bulge out of the back of the carrying case? :steamfacepalm:

It doesn't go inside the case.

I also was baffled by this not fitting. Longer cord on the OLED broke it?
This is my first deck so I'm not sure.

I also bought an Anker 45W charger that is a bit smaller and it fits a little better. Not flush below the case surface though.

Valve had fun creating a slimmer case magic with it, but didn’t take into account accessories some folks would need to lug around. The bigger 2 tone case for the 1tb oled models could of utilized the inner bottom space, instead of that awkward exterior bottom slot.

The LCD model case has a divot in the back where (I presume) one is supposed to put their charger... but it'd only be held in-place by an elastic band and could easily fall out (I don't know of anyone who uses it for that).

You're pretty much better off with any other case you can find unless you only need the case for the system alone.

I have no idea what the OLED cases are like, but it doesn't sound like it changed all that much.

This is exactly what I'm referring to, however... my charger doesn't actually fit "in" the slot. It pokes way out like it wasn't actually meant to go there.

I only use the divot for a small automotive microfiber towel. Fold it over and over then shove it on the back of the case. Nothing else I have for the Deck will work in that space. Better to use the case as a shell and drop it into a backpack or something, or get a different case.

I recall someone saying that divot was meant to be a handle and the handle meant to be a carrying strap LOL. holding it in this manner certainly offers a very firm grip of the device.
Just spend $10 on a 3rd party case with a bit of room for a charger, headphones, power cord. and small type-c hub with HDMI.
Or spend $30-40 on a bigger one that holds a mouse/keyboard, power bank, and controller too.. (personally I prefer the smaller case that just holds a few essentials, but i do keep a second generic case for the keyboard/mouse/controller and power bank.

You noticed that too - it goes in the "pit" on the back.
Course it doesn't really fit.

Frankly its stupid - but it is what it is.

I bought a "Man Purse" to carry EVERYTHING so its not an issue for me.

I bought that from Amazon to replace the oem case. It fits the deck with a JSAUX mod case on it (but not with the lid), a JSAUX cooling fan, a small Bluetooth keyboard, earbuds, charging brick, and has room to spare.
