GLS shipping hell thread
Its been five days since the last update from GLS, the update is from 30/11 at 00.40 and says "left the parcel center, in transit" from the netherlands. I'm in italy and that route shouldnt take more than 2 days! GLS is ♥♥♥♥ tier and you can't even reach them by phone. Should I write Steam? Whats your experience? I had no such problems with the LCD model last year, it arrived in 3 days and its the same route.

Edit:
December 9, after exactly 2 weeks from ordering my Deck its finally in my hands. Its been hell, but now its finally over. In my case it was just a matter of me being too anxious and GLS being full for the holidays. Don't lose hope guys, it will arrive.

Well I'm from Italy and I kinda resigned to the fact that I wont see my de k before sometime next week. It's shameful that steam still hasn't updated their estimated delivery time on the shop page. If the want to stick with a known bad shipping company they should at least be more honest. As soon as I get my deck I will leave 1 star reviews on any site that allows me to. I know its useless, but if many of us do the same maybe it will have some impact.
You're fine, it's in transit, me, steam tells me they've given it to GLS, GLS tells me they haven't got it themselves...

GLS :

Hello lolo,

Thank you for contacting our service.
After checking, I can confirm that our tracking system indicates that the parcel has not yet been handed over to GLS.
However, as you confirm the contrary, I invite you to contact your sender to open a claim.
Wishing you an excellent end of day.
Yours faithfully

The recipient customer service team.
That sucks, if I have to guess it could be that gls has not yet entered your parcel on their systems meaning that the deck is still on the truck or something like that. If steam says that they handed it over, they did. Try waiting til tomorrow and if you still have no updates contact steam, show them the mails from gls and ask a refund or a re-shipping. This in unacceptable from such a high profile company and a high cost product. I feel for you man, i hope that is just a simple mistake.

I ordered on 18th of november at the time estimated delivery was 5-10 buisness days. At the time of writing it is 13 buisness days since order. Apparently it was shipped on 24 and the label and tracking number was created on that date. Now it is the 6th of December and the tracking number still says that GLS hasn't recieved the package yet. I live in Denmark

I do too. We probably have the same shipment I guess. I don't know where they drove or lost the shipment, but for sure isn't Scandinavia, haha.

I have contacted both Steam and GLS at gotten and Steam says it normaly takes 8 buisness days from shipping (we are beyond that now) and a non-answer from GLS.

Yes. I've also contacted both, waiting for a reply from Steam. It seems to me that it should be Steam that contacts GLS to locate the package, but I suspect they are simply autoreplying "wait and see" emails hoping that will solve the issue eventually... Who knows, maybe it'll turn up before Christmas... I for sure would be a lot more patient if they at least could confirm that the package was handed over to GLS and present somewhere in Europe.

Same here, left Netherlands Parcel Center on 29th, no updates since, I'm starting to get a little worried.

This is getting ridiculous. Steam should contact gls for an estimate on the delivery date and make a community post. It is inexcusable to just ignore customers this way. I will advise my friends who are thinking about buying a deck to wait and maybe go for the Lenovo or Asus one. If this is how Valve treats customers they deserve to lose them.

WTF is going on

I just received the same update...

Still no update from GLS about the status of my parcel. I have now contacted the steam support. But from my point of view the whole situation is not acceptable.

The whole situation is ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Steam just replied to me and they say that delivery can take up to or more than 8 business days excluding weekends. That still doesnt explain why I havent had ANY update in more than a week, why they still dont update the delivery times on the store page and now it even seems that GLS
is sending back parcels.
Alucard_LV0 Dec 7, 2023 @ 2:03am
This is what stean replied to me:

We understand the long wait could be very frustrating sometime.

Upon investigation, the package is still in transit and the package might be pending due to several reasons.

The package would usually be delivered within 4-8 business days(excludes weekends) once it has been shipped, though this is only an estimate and would depend on the carrier.

For more information about shipping, see our Hardware Shipping FAQ

We encourage you to continue monitoring the tracking information on the carrier website.

If you have not received your order after 8 business days please let us know and we will further investigate.

Steam Support

The fun part is the package might be pending "due to several reasons". Basically "we have no idea if or when you will recive your PAID product, go on the gls site and keep pressing f5, bye!!"

It's pathetic, we have your money, we sent the package, it's no longer our problem...
Alucard_LV0 Dec 7, 2023 @ 2:46am
I have already convinced two of my friends to hold off ordering their decks. If more of us here do the same maybe Valve will actually start giving a ♥♥♥♥.
