Anyone managed to get Kingdom Hearts 3 HDR working

I've tried everything, various proton versions, experimental can't even get past the intro videos and the only version that works is Proton 5-13 which doesn't work with HDR (toggle greyed out in fullscreen, borderless and windowed)

If anyone's managed to get it working I will be your best friend for life....

There are many games like that which suggest it supports HDR, but the Deck's screen is not detected as HDR capable. It's still early so likely not much you can do. There is supposedly a command line parameter you can try, but it hasn't seemed to work:

Have you tried ProtonGE? You can install the ProtonUpQT application from Discover in desktop mode to install other versions of Proton than the standard Steam ones.

Yeah ive tried multiple versions of GE and the only one that works with the game is proton ge 5.13-6 but still no HDR. I've tried forcing HDR on through the ini config files, it shows as being turned on in the game when i do this but greyed out and consequently doesn't trigger HDR. I've tried everything at this point I can think of...

Yeah just tested this game today. Same experience with 5.13-6 the only version working and of course cannot enable HDR ;(

I feel you buddy. This game would have been absolutely perfect. Its a shame because we may never get a fix given its not on steam.

Frostbite engine games like the Dead Space remake simply refuse to work with hdr as well, I thinks related to how these games or engines handle thier full screen modes, they're possibly coded to only work on windows and it's full screen flip model presentation. But I'm no expert 🤷‍♂️

Ni no kuni 2 is another one that just refuses to work 😒
