Why won't my keyboard show up?
I hit the Steam button + X button to open the onscreen keyboard right? but why doesn't it work right now occasionally it will show up but then later it won't show up. I try restarting it over and over again and it still does not show up. Is their a way for me to fix this problem?

It's a hit or a miss sometimes, happens to me too.

Make sure you have a text box in focus (i.e. mouse or screen click the text area) then the keyboard will launch with STEAM + X reliably.

I have restarted my deck frequently and still the keyboard won't appear even after clicking on a textbox

Where is this happening for you?

The reason I ask is that there was a broken Chrome version release about 2 weeks ago. Google updated it and fixed it. When it was in place, trying to launch the keyboard sort of broke Steam's input and nothing seemed to work. I had to force close Chrome to get the controls working again (including the keyboard).
