Royal Mail own GLS so it’s not surprising 🤣
Left the parcel center on the 5th December, 1am.
I'll post again when it's arrived in the UK.
At least that's working day 8 now (honestly, did they find a logistics company that don't work weekends?), which is what customer services told me they needed to investigate.
Unfortunately, I am the exact same as you. Ordered 19th, packaged 24th and heard absolutely nothing since. I have a friend who lives in the same town as myself and he ordered a week after me, he already has his Steam Deck. I’m hoping something hasn’t gone wrong with our batch. I’ve contacted Steam and GLS, not to much avail.
Parcelforce are a complete farce. Steam would do well to reconsider who their delivery partners are. Probably the worst courier in the UK. The deck I ordered has been in my city since the 1st December. No knock on the door, no cards left at address, customer service agents on the phone not following through on redelivery requests. Absolute shambles. I've half a mind to cancel and buy from eBay. It's clear they're either not attempting delivery at all or they're not bothering to knock.
Delays are fine, especially this time of year. But Parcelforce are obviously lying about what's happening. Just be honest about it?
Here's hoping the third redelivery attempt happens.
This is just Parcelforce modus operandi. Shocking.
Dock turned up separate at a new delivery address, opened.
“Oh don’t worry. The delivery driver left the depot so late that he won’t even make it to you before his shift runs out so he will just take it back to the depot for you and we can arrange something from there.”
I live in Northern Ireland (supposedly part of UK). Parcel Force say it should have been sent via GLS Ireland and not GLS UK from Netherlands. Why on earth would this make sense and how would I even know this . If this is a mistake on behalf of Steam supplier then this is shockingly poor! I do believe it is a mistake on behalf of Parcel Force though which is also shockingly poor.
They are advising they will send the item back to Netherlands instead of actually delivering to me in UK. Both Steam and Parcel Force may sort this mess out - I am extremely pi$$ed off with this nonsense!
