1280x800 monitor for deck streaming?
What if i bought a monitor with same resolution as steam deck to stream games from? Would it help with resolution issues and make game streaming seamless between pc and steam deck? Has anyone tried this? Are there better alternatives? I have an ultrawide monitor so its a little weird to stream. And wouldnt the low resolution help with performance?

Can't you just change your current resolution to 800p?

1280 x 800 is a 16:10 ratio monitor and most monitors are 16:9 or 21:9 for my ultrawide.

I'm looking at my resolution options on my 3440x1440 monitor and 1280x800 is available, obviously it's gonna be streched and awful on the actual display but should do the job for streaming.

If you're using Steam Link, you can just run it windowed with the `--windowed` parameter, like `steamlink --windowed`. Then you can just stream the window content. You don't need to buy a whole monitor for that.

i just setup a custom 1280x800 resolution. my 1080p monitor can easily display it and it streams perfectly fine to my deck via moonlight. you do not need a special monitor.

You can auto adjust in the settings.
