USB-C port not mounting devices
The USB-C port doesn’t seem to recognise external devices. Keyboard, mouse or External drives. However, the port does still charge.

I’ve used differed hubs and cables. I’m able to use the micro SD card on the bottom of device and format an SD card. However when I plug that into multiple adapters and try to plug into the USB port on the top, the drive isn’t being picked up by the device. Keyboards and mice also aren’t recognised. I’ve enabled auto mount in the settings, but this hasn’t worked. I’ve also factory reset the device, but this also hasn’t helped. I’m running SteamOS 3.5.7 and have now 3rd party software installed.

Probably an obvious thing, but did you boot into desktop mode and tell it to mount? Apparently, it doesn't mount drives by default, and auto mount doesn't seem to work until you have done it manually at least once.

Someone mention in another thread that switching from DRD to XHCI in the bios USB settings may fix the issue

Yea. I would say re enable it in a month or two. DRD allows you do to cool stuff like make an ipad as a external monitor and stuff.

Thank you! None of my usb-c devices would register as connected when plugged-in to the new OLED deck directly using DRD. Changing the USB settings to XHCI in the bios fixed the issues completely!
