Offline-Mode hour count

Does anyone know how to track hours now in 2023 when u play offline most of the time on deck. Or this thing remains the same like previous years?

Nothing has changed. It should sync up the playtime once back online.

And yet our offline hours should add up to our total playtime once we're back up?

They never show offline hours?

If you search the inter-web, you'll find conversations that say it does track offline and that it doesn't.

My experience has been it has synced up my time for the games where the achievements are synced once back online. It could be one in the same that if the games achievements don't sync then neither does the time.

The one constant is that some people have tried to play offline beyond the 2 hour limit of a refund, and Valve had their actual playtime. So there is that....

I think there is a difference here , going into offline mode inside steam (steam shop still works and stuff) and then there is offline mode without internet connection at all (cant reach shop open browser or anything)
the second one doesn't track hours I believe , first one is just ''invisible mode'' if i recall correctly

FWIW, I've done "offline mode with no internet connection".
