Steam Deck Oled
This is gonna be a big win for Valve because it it going to be significantly better than their "Rivals" and it is a very good handheld device. Thank you Valve and Steam for all the work that you guys have done. We really appreciate this. Thank you!

Not when it'll never have even a small portion of the game library.

With that much power devs will run every single game, so yeah, much better. Unless you are die hard fanboy of steam which i cannot help with

I'm a die hard fanboy of gaming hence why I prefer a machine with an open platform that I can play nearly any game ever released on without waiting for re-releases or having to rebuy them.
I wanted to buy a switch when new until I realized the expense of rebuying what is available, being limited by what is available and having no cross-save would mean it'd probably end up gathering dust most of the time.

Nintendo products are more expensive compare to Steam Deck products. What you said is true.

It's cute how Nintendo fans are always convinced that Nintendo is working on some beast system "for the gamers" that will unleash full power, and not a device made for families and budgeted towards being cost effective for said families.

But yeah, a handheld battery powered device is going to crush everything in front of it...

Screw the Nintendo Switch, everybody ought to agree that Steam Deck is far superior system and handheld.

Or the freedom to mod and run whatever you want. Unless Nintendo stopped being Nintendo. I originally considered the switch because I saw someone managed to run dosbox on it, but it was a PITA to mod it to get it there. Got turned off fast.

A 720p screen is literally useless when nearly all games force on dlss and have no msaa. At least my switch oled renders native 720p. With fsr forced on and no aa 720p would be awful. Thankfully no nintendo games have fsr or dlss unlike the steam library.

All the games are designed for the platform on switch. On steam deck, The games are designed for another platform aka the big desktops and its being jerry rigged onto the small screen. Big difference. Lets use Mario and Returnal as an example. Mario runs at a sharp native 720p 60fps and Returnal on Steam Deck runs at 720p 24fps on low settings.
