The WIn10 install is stored on my MicroSD card but it boots from my normal Steamdeck Bios Menu, but now the windows install is missing from the steamdeck boot Bios. I hope that answers the question because im not too sure what some of it means! sryyy
Edit;
Check the thread of latest stable update in events subforum to see what is going on.
It's funny how People are supporting the whole go only Mobile Environment,
but refuse to give up the Computer Market to do so,
Now People are trying to buy a Steam Deck, & then MOD the Steam Deck
to allow them to run Steam the Free Way they always were able to do before?
Hello, MODDING Steam to use Windows 10, would be like having not bought
a Steam Deck at all... It's like going backwards from what you bought the
Steam Deck for...
At this point? Why not just buy a Computer or Build a Computer??
windows 10 with full support would be more versatile than steam OS, but steam OS would still run slightly smoother because it doesn't have the overhead that is windows running in the background. though I would absolutely love better windows support.
They are buying steam-deck for the hardware.. they want a hand-held gaming computer that is more portable than a laptop, and cheaper than an ROG ally ($399+$50 for a 1tb m.2) vs $599.
Personally I would go with the ally, for the driver support and hardware bumps alone.
The main things steam-deck has going for it is power efficiency, price, and steam OS.
The first 2 are obvious benefits, while the 3rd isnt so cut and dry especially for power users.
Well for a start it's a dual boot so i can have the portable arcade fun of the steamdeck while also having the perks of a windows desktop to play the few games i have unsupported on steamdeck!
My Deck was a birthday gift and, whilst being considerably cheaper than a gaming PC, runs all my games well and works as a great MIni desktop device. Whats with the hate?
When I'm in SteamOS gaming mode the top of my screen displays that there's an SD card insterted but I can't see it as a device in Steam Desktop mode:(
Found your topic here and after some more topics in www I found this:

Maybe it helps you.
I don’t have a stick atm to create it but I’ll take a look for a solution.
Best wishes!
Run that command to take a look.
Yea. I do not recommend dual booting. Valve has pretty touch the efi boot loader every other update. Kinda annoying to fix, but I can manager. I do not know about the average gamer.
