Does this ever go on sale?

Like Cyber Monday or something. Just wanna know if I should wait or not. I'm not in a particular rush to get it.

It was just on sale very recently at 20% off. Winter sale might hold a nice discount for it but I wouldn't hold my breath on it being any better than previous discounts

It's been on sale twice as far as I'm aware:
1) On Steam Deck's 1st year anniversary around February/March.
2) On Steam's 20th year anniversary very recently.

Any possible future discounts are uncertain.

Yeah I did this when I got back from vacation. I didn't know it was on sale before I left and found out I missed the end by one day! I want the 512gb version but it would annoy me to pay full price for it now. I'm hoping for a Black Friday or Halloween sale or something like that to get the 20% back again.

If you want the 512gb version for cheap get the 64gb version and a 1tb m.2 and install it yourself :) pretty easy if you can follow a tutorial
you will save like $200 and get twice the storage..

You dont get the anti-glare screen (which supposedly helps play in direct sunlight) and you wont get the special carrying case... and lastly you wont get some digital goodies, but i think thats all you miss out on.. (certainly worth double the storage EVEN if you didnt save $200

i think the screen can also be replaced, but its expensive. not sure if its less expensive to buy the best version of the deck vs replacing the disk and the screen manually when buying the cheapest deck.
