2nd Touchscreen Display with Steam Deck - Any Experience?
I recently purchased a second touchscreen display with the intention of using it in desktop mode, primarily for tasks like programming (However, being new to Linux, I'm still in the process of figuring out how to compile, so not very experienced yet). Nonetheless, I noticed an issue when attempting to use the touch function. My touches on the second large display were projected onto the Steam Deck display, but in an inverted manner. This is likely due to the Steam Deck display being rotated either to the right or left. As a result, I was unable to execute any touch actions on the second display as it was constantly projecting.

The display was powered by USB-C, and the Steam Deck was also connected to it via USB-C.

Do you have any experience with a similar issue? Is it possible that either the Steam Deck or the display itself is responsible for this problem?

If you get it working, let us know how..
Sounds like a good use of tech, and a smart idea.
Peace

Can you rotate the screen with the built in Kscreen?

If touch and display isn't align, I would report the bug to kde bugzilla.

https://bugs.kde.org/

This issue is a kernel bug.

The kde bugzilla will help direct you to other support channels. Be sure to include the commit link in your bug report.

Hi,

I also have my Steam Deck connected via USB C to a ViewSonic touchscreen monitor and for a while it worked great but a few months ago the touchscreen controls on the monitor became inverted.

I connected a laptop to the monitor via USB C and the touchscreen controls on the monitor were correct. So I assumed it was a Steam Deck update that broke the touchscreen controls and have been waiting for an update to fix this. Any word if there is a fix for this?

I get the same thing with the Nexdock 360. used to work just fine before on of the 3.5 updates. now its rotated/inverted. makes external touchscreens useless

There's not really much benefit to touch-screen for coding...
