Low fps in games
Hi everybody! I just bought a steam deck today and ran into a problem. I downloaded wreckfest and saw there fps on medium settings around 35-55. at the same time, in absolutely every youtube video, I see stable 60 fps at high settings. And the same problem in dota 2, fps is much less than on youtube. I did not do anything with the console, I just took it out of the box. Tell me what could be the problem ? Maybe you didn't install some drivers?

Valve is constantly working to get better compatibility with games though.

Edit: Get acquainted with this site, it's shows how games really run:

Reading that I only see one person getting 60 on the deck and that's on lowest settings. You can tell if it's played on the deck by the logo on the review.

It would appear that the offending post has been removed, so don't ask who I was referring to.

I'd give 99% chance that account is not legit. Community moderators have a special color for their name, special icon attached to it (not in the name itself), and use an actually identifiable name, not "community moderator"
Plus the account was made yesterday.

No worries. You can cap the game to 40 and it will feel good still. Valve is releasing a major update soon so performance will improve on the deck.

guys, today I turned on the developer mode, and made it run games not through proton 7, but through proton 8.0.4 fps increased very significantly, and I achieved a stable 60 fps in the game. and not only in this one.
