GTA V progress

I know this has been discussed elsewhere but there are conflicting explanations. I'd like to get it from someone with new experience.
I played GTA V on Xbox Series X and have a good progress. Now I'd like to try the game on my new Steam Deck. I will have to repurchase. But before doing that, I'd like to know if there's any possibility of transferring my progress from Xbox.
On some sites, it is said that if you have a Social Club account linked with your Xbox profile, you can use the same social club account on Steam and transfer progress. But some sites say that this is old (from 2015) and it is no longer possible.
Which is correct ?

Pre-Transfer Checklist:

There are a few things you' ll want to make sure are in order before loading up your PC copy of GTA5.

In game money that you have purchased will not transfer with your game data. Only money that has been earned in game will make the trip.
If you already have an Online character on your PC game, they will be replaced by the transferred character.

Transferring to PC:

Make sure your GTA Online save data is tied to the Rockstar Social account you will be using.
Open the PC version of the game, go to online and login using the same Rockstar Social account credentials as your Xbox/ Playstation account.
If there is save game data tied to that account you will receive a prompt asking if you would like to transfer your online progress over. Select yes and the transfer will start. If you have more than one character on the account you will also receive the option of which character to transfer.
Your progress has been transferred! It’s that easy.

Note: If you miss the prompt or accidentally cancel it you can get it back by going to the GTA Online pause menu and selecting the character transfer option.

2 questions:
1. Once I transfer a character, shall I be able to continue playing with it on Xbox ?
2. In game earned money will be transferred but purchased money will not
So , let's say I had purchased shark bundle with 10M money , and I also earned in game 10M money. In total I had 20M. And then I spent 15M of it to buildings and other stuff. Now I have 5M money and a lot of stuff. All of these purchased stuff will be transferred. (correct ?) And what about the remaining 5M in my bank account ? We don't know how much of it is purchased money or earned money. So ?

Your crew is the only thing that can carry over now. Rockstar was only offering account transfers for a limited time on version releases, so unfortunately this won't work anymore.
