Madden 22 not working on Steam Deck
I am still occasionally booting up Madden 22 on my Steam Deck. With Origin as the launcher, it was working fine. Now it is the EA app, and, naturally, it will not launch. I changed the Proton compatibility to 7, 8 and experimental, but same result. When I google the issue, there is nothing recent. Anyone have a work-around to make the EA app work on the Steam Deck?

The EA Play app got a recent update which has messed it up for SteamOS. It sucks, but right never, every time you want to play an EA title (not through Lutris or Heroic) you have to go into the game menu, select Developer, then Delete Proton files. This should allow the EA Play app to start up, configure itself and then start the game. However, you'll need to do the same thing the next time for now.

This does delete your saved games, is there a way to have this workaround working and keeping your saved process?

I was having troubles like EA Play crashing and audio stutter or no-audio dialogues, only enviroment audio. So I tried many things and finally I got.

First of all, I've installed Proton GE and set up compatible mode to GE-Proton 7.55. After that I install protontricks (https://steamdeckhq.com/tips-and-guides/fixing-ea-play-blank-screen-for-ea-games-on-steam/). Works fine now. Excepts two points:
1. Long delay to start game (I'm acostumed with Spider Man: Remastered)
2. Every time that I start the game, the EA Play asked me to sign in (Its a suck, but works fine)
