Steam deck public network

I'm having trouble connecting the deck to a public network, when you need to open a browser to log in, I get an access denied message but it dosent open browser. Anyway around this?

First & foremost, check if the Deck is the problem or the WLAN setup. Try to connect from your phone, see if you get the same.

Works fine on other networks but any public network that requires you to sign in on a web page it doesn't open the web page

In answer to your question then yes it does connect to my phone.

Have you tried connecting from Desktop mode where you can launch a browser to complete the login?
