First, set the admin password from desktop mode in the settings. Then when you try and write that image, you'll get a prompt for your admin password. Enter it, and Bob's your uncle.

Run the "passwd" command in a terminal (the app named Konsole) in Desktop Mode and it will prompt you to enter one. This sets the admin password for all apps that require it.

And if it asks for a password first then you must have entered one before.
