Steam Rom Manager Not Working
Every time I try to open the rom manager in emu deck, it will ask to exit steam and I would say yes, and when I do it just won't open, I've also tried from applications too but that did the same thing. I just don't know what to do at this point.

Exit Steam yoursrlf, then start this thing.
Having the same issue. I exit steam before I launch it.
Same issue here, no solution found anywhere online that I could find.
Go to Desktop mode, open terminal\console\konsole, type= pkill steam, then try to open Rom Manager. pkill is similar to taskkill for windows. Remember the command prompt or DOS days of Windows?

I didn't install Rom manager on my deck, you can do install manually by playing with the shortcut settings (aka add non steam game). I found using flatpak messed up my nds saves.
Cemu is a pain, rom manager hopefully will fix issues I was having? Hidden top menu bar. I say hidden because you can do Alt+F but still need keyboard. Its wierd.
nds, i used= "melonds.exe" launch option= "E:/ndsroms/file.nds" E is sdcard
Citra i used flatpak, then rightclick, save to steam.
Nsw, shortcut, I used Linux version of ryujinx= "/location/ryujinx"
Lutris, i installed as flatpak
Heroic game launcher is appimage. I prefer appimages, but you can do flatpak. I used for my gog account. Each game you can install then right click to add to steam.
Hope this helps.
I installed SRM through EmuDeck and I was having the same issue.
I found that SRM will only launch for me if the Steam Deck boots with the same SD card that I had inserted when I first installed EmuDeck.

My suggestion would be to uninstall EmuDeck and make sure to reinstall it on the Steam internal storage, and see if that works?

This was the problem. There was an update that required me to reformat the SD card. While I restored all the data after the reformat it I still had to reinstall EmuDeck to fix the issue.

Sadly I then encountered a new issue. Found the SRM would crash every time I ran it. Seems it basically added my roms to my steam library several times over until the library was just too big for SRM. I had to go into steam and manually remove all the non-steam games in the library before SRM could attempt to add anything else. It was at this point I just decided to use EmulationStation DE and add that to my library. Much quicker and easier.
I've installed EmuDeck, and I've gotten it set up, but whenever I go to launch the Steam Rom Manager, it closes Steam, but doesn't launch the rom manager. I've tried searching online for guidance, but there aren't any sites with helpful directions. Is there a way I can install and launch the rom manager myself? I've been trying for 3 days to get the rom manager to launch, but no luck. Someone please help me, because this is really annoying.
The it not launching is happening to me too

Hey so Ill tell you that uninstalling and reinstalling fixed the program for me! I apologize I was confirming the issue wasn't a one off and was also happening to me!
I had the same issue but it turned out I hadn't installed SRM. Install it through emulator management and then it should work
